Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!!!

So, like most people around here, I'm sure....we've been out playing in this WONDERFUL SNOW!!!! It couldn't have come at a better time of year! It's so festive to have all this pretty snow before Christmas.
Catching snowflakes on their tongues in the morning (obviously...still in our jammies)

"Daddy - We're going to eat the snow!!"

YUMMY!!!!!

So much fun to make snow angels!

And they stopped for some loves so mommy could take a picture.

Since we don't have a sled, the boogie board from Hawaii had to do.....and they loved it! Jake decided he wanted to "shred ice" like a surfer in the snow.

But Emma thought it was way more fun to have daddy pull her on her tummy. And after lots of fun surfing and sleding last night (from about 7:30-9:30pm), we sat around the fire on the patio, warmed up, had some hot cocoa and Emma read us a bedtime story.

And off for more fun this morning - Michael rigged up our recycling boxes with some tow rope and drug the kids all around the block in them. They LAUGHED hyterically for most of the time. The streets were so icy that Michael barely had to pull for the kiddos to just zip right along in their "one-of-a-kind" sled boxes. They looked so funny with their little heads sticking out of the boxes as they went down the street....made me laugh so hard.

They looked like they were riding the scrambler from a fair.....zipping side to side. Oh, to be a kid again and get pulled around like this by your dadddy. WAAAAAAYYYY too much fun!!!!!!! Thank you God for this amazing snow and all the fun our family is having in it!

Hi! Yay! I get to see what your life is like! (Though it makes me sad not to be there.) I loved your pictures of the snow -- right now, we have over a foot, and so if Mara gets off the shoveled walkway, she almost can't move her legs!! There is some serious cabin fever going on; in fact I just sent Steven outside to play, all bundled up, because he was playing frisbee IN THE LIVING ROOM. But it's very festive, isn't it? I ADORE how Michael is wearing his golf cleats for traction on the road while being the 'horse.' That must have been his morning for brilliant ideas! Love you guys!
