Another Day & an Announcement.....

Well, no new update today on our little girl's condition.  We were hoping for something, but no news came. 


After a busy morning of planning for our "Worship for Orphans" event coming up on October 27th, we headed up to Portland for the afternoon.  First, we stopped by AGCI to get materials for the worship event.  Got to see Julie & Emily....it was good to hug and say hello, but super hard to not badger poor Julie for ANY information. You could tell she was bustling around the office with all the court action in Addis today.


After AGCI, we headed to OHSU for our travel immunizations.  Neither of us were nervous until all 12 shots came into the room.  We had the kids with us so we had to be "tough" even though Michael's knees were going numb.  Poor Em was overwhelmed at the thought of 6 shots in mommy & 6 in daddy and started to cry (the memory of her 3 immunization shots last month, obviously still fresh in her mind) .  But, Jakey hugged her and said it was ok and not to be sad....it was really sweet and did help her relax.  Overall, the shots weren't bad.  Admittedly, a few of them really hurt.  So, with 3 band-aids on each arm, we are now home and totally juiced up for Hep A, Hep B, Polio, MMR, flu and yellow fever.  I intended to take pictures of today and completely forgot.  Oh well.


I had to post tonight to finally let everyone know we have decided on the names for our girls.  Some of you already know their names as we decided on them a few weeks ago, but with all this writing of our "Z" baby the past few days, I cannot take it anymore because I want to call our girls by their ACTUAL names.  So, while I can't show you their pictures, I have little snapshots of their eyes and want to share with you their names.  Both of their names are rooted in their given African names.

Thank you again to each and every one of you for continuing to pray for Zinea and for us.  We have felt all your prayers and know they are pouring over Zinea in the hospital as well as helping us to keep our eyes and minds fixed on Jesus and His control over all this and NOT focused on our fears or all that we cannot do while we wait.  Phew.
