And the Numbers This Month Are......

.....and on one photo together, even. We just found out today that we're #13 on the girl list and #7 on the sibling list. Our social worker told us however that they are working on "some" referrals right now that aren't totally accepted/approved yet, so while we only moved up by one number, there is a batch of referrals currently being worked on that should greatly impact next month's numbers. That's exciting!

This picture is so perfect for us this month. On a totally unrelated topic, we've been riding our bikes with the kids around here like crazy. Riding to church, riding to the store, riding out to lunch, riding around the neighborhood for fun....riding, riding, riding. It's been tons of fun. But, it's also symbolic of where Michael and I are at with this adoption & our "lists." For some reason, I'm feeling a pull to take ourselves off the girl list and just stay on the sibling list and wait for two little ones. I'm not sure why, but it's what I've been thinking and praying about a lot! So, right now I'm riding the #7 bike. But, Mikey is firm in his desire to stay on the girl list and really feels that the sibling list is just a pipe dream and that there is no way we'll get a referral for siblings even if we wait on the list for the next two or more years. His thoughts behind this stem from some early conversations with people about the speed at which the sibling list moves, given our request that they be younger than Jake. So, Michael is pretty happy to keep on riding the #13 bike. So, in the absence of consensus between us and until we feel some direction from God about it, we will continue to ride both bikes.

At least we're riding in the same direction, right?
